Introducing the Enugu State Campus Hackathon Series

A groundbreaking partnership with the Enugu State Government and Gensys Tech Hub to drive innovation and growth across Nigerian University Campuses

Our vision at The Garage has always been to help university students get things done and get closer to their goals. And with over 3,500 students served in our first two years, we’re glad to say we’re achieving that vision.

And that’s why we’re even more excited to announce our partnership with The Enugu SME Agency and Genesys Tech Hub to organize the first-ever Enugu State Campus Hackathon Series. It’ll feature six hackathons at designated university campuses, with the top teams from each campus participating in the state final. All participants can win some of the $100,000 prize and support pool.

With our partners, we imagine the series as a launching pad for ideas and an opportunity to showcase the depth of talent in Enugu’s young people, starting with undergraduates and recent graduates from selected schools. Our list of designated campuses includes:

  1. University of Nigeria, Nsukka

  2. University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus

  3. Coal City University

  4. Godfrey Okoye University

  5. Enugu State University of Science and Technology

  6. Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu

Participants can explore various industries, including EdTech, Blockchain, HealthTech, AgriTech, Artificial Intelligence, and others, turning common problems into innovative solutions.

You can find out more about the series on the website: enugucampushackathon.ng, or register here if you qualify.

We are grateful to the Peter Ndubuisi Mbah-led Enugu State Government for their unrelenting support to tech initiatives, and all of Enugu State. We will continue to find and forge strong connections that enable us to create value and help even more people.
